On Point for Jobs
Since 2008, the On Point for Jobs program assists On Point for College students who attend college or have graduated from college to get summer internships or permanent jobs.
And presently, we have several jobs and internships listed. To qualify, you must:
- be in the On Point for College program
- be in college or have graduated from college

Mercyworks SYNERGY Summer Internship Program at Upstate
Spring graduating high school seniors college bound and current undergraduate college students
The Mercyworks SYNERGY Summer Internship Program is a strategic partnership between Upstate Medical University and Mercy Works, Inc. As a professional development program, it targets goal-oriented minority students from the city of Syracuse who are college bound high school seniors, or who are currently enrolled in an undergraduate college program. The goal of the program is to provide students with skills that will not only advance their academic and professional careers, but contribute to the future of Central New York's workforce and community.
President's Summer Internship Program
Spring Graduating College seniors grad school bound & graduate students (Masters or PhD), and current graduate students.
This program is a strategic initiative sponsored by the Office of the President, and coordinated by the Office of Diversity & Affirmative Action in collaboration with the urban community.
Project Search
The Project Search High School Transition Program Restricted Access is a one-year educational program for students with disabilities who are in their last year of high school. It is for students whose main goal is competitive employment. The program takes place in a health care or business setting in which total immersion in the workplace facilitates teaching and learning through feedback and application of new skills.
On Point for College COMPUTER GIVEAWAY (listing placed December 18, 2010)
WHAT IT IS
An anonymous foundation is allowing On Point for College to award over 35 students with desktop computers or laptops based on the highest Grade Point Averages for the Fall 2010 semester.
ELIGIBILITY: YOU MUST
- Already be an On Point for College student, currently enrolled in college
- Be registered for at least 3 credit hours to be eligible for a computer, (10% of the laptops will be awarded to part-time students)
- Turn in your unofficial Fall 2010 Grade Report to Tricia Baker, OPFC Retention Advisor
