On Point for College was chosen Non-Profit of the Year by the Greater Syracuse Chamber of Commerce, Thursday, March 6, 2008.

"I remember observing a reporter interviewing a group of youths at the center and asking them how they thought they could get beyond the violence in their neighborhoods. One rough-looking young man who had been slumped in his seat, raised himself up, thrust his hand in the air and yelled, "I'm going to college."
