Position Title: Program Director - Special Projects
Location: We are currently hiring one position in our Syracuse office

Report to: Executive Director
Position Responsibilities:

Provide counsel and collaborate with Executive Director in long-range planning, training, and strategic direction
- Demonstrate training best practices for staff
- Promotes the financial aid process through presentations, editing of literature, and enrollment management activities
- Counsels prospective and continuing students, and their families about available sources of financial assistance, eligibility requirements, and application procedures
- Coordinate with outside agencies to resolve all data and application situations
- Collects Financial Aid specific data, maintaining attendance log for each event
- Keep detailed information on the progress of each student and any changes in contact information
- Remains current on federal, state, and institutional Financial Aid regulations
- Establish relationships throughout the high schools within the counties served
- Travel within the counties services by On Point for College, within New York State
- Institute training plan for both new employees and “continuing education” for all staff
- Tracking system to ensure each employee receives full training
- Designing testing/verification of learning process for key topics
- Assist Executive Director and other staff members with other duties as assigned
Qualifications:

Director of Special Projects must have a Bachelor’s Degree, reliable transportation, and a valid driver’s license. Previous job experience should include two or more years with some combination of work experience with young adults, college or university, or training facility.

Salary:
- $54,000 per year / 40-hour work week / generally 9:00am – 5:00pm, Monday thru Friday. Note: some evening and weekend hours required, based on the needs of students and campuses visited.

Most positions receive a laptop or desktop, mobile phone, scanner, and portable printer to use so staff can work from other locations (school districts, community centers, etc.).
Holidays include Martin Luther King Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Friday after. We also offer paid leave from 12/24 thru 1/1 to full-time employees.
