Visiting Students On Campus
At the beginning of each semester, On Point for College Advisors travel to 80 colleges across New York State - from Long Island to the North Country - to ensure that each On Point student has the tools they need to succeed, including: financial aid, housing, a meal plan, textbooks, and an introduction to a friendly face on campus, whether it’s another On Point student, or an On Point "Campus Angel."
In addition to our beginning of the semester visits, On Point for College advisors also visit students on campus monthly at two-year programs, community colleges and technology schools in New York State. Students who attend Onondaga Community College (OCC) in Syracuse will be visited twice weekly while students who attend Mohawk Valley Community College (MVCC) and Herkimer County Community College (HCCC) in Utica will be visited once weekly. These visits help ensure that On Point staff can address any barriers to academic success that may arise throughout the semester.
