2015 Transfer Orientation ClassThe process of transferring colleges can be confusing and there is no “one-size-fits-all” solution. Knowing this, On Point for College will work closely with you and the colleges you’re transferring to and from to ensure a seamless transition to the next phase in your college journey.

Specifically, On Point will help you:

  • Understand your personal and professional goals and how college can fit into them
  • Identify and apply to colleges
  • Identify an appropriate program of study (e.g., major) and understand its curriculum/course requirements
  • Prepare gap statements to help you explain any interruptions in your educational journey
  • Obtain transcripts and documents from colleges/institutions previously attended
  • Stay on top of crucial dates and deadlines (e.g., instant admit days, transfer fairs, financial aid deadlines)
  • Review and understand articulation agreements (also known as transfer agreements, transfer guides, or transfer pathways) which outline the transfer policies between colleges
  • Understand your financing options and obtain financing
  • Create an academic plan and review program curriculums and course credits to ensure that you are on track to graduate and to fulfill your educational goals
  • Complete the reverse transfer process if you’re seeking to obtain a two-year/associates degree after having transferred to a four-year college/bachelor’s degree program
  • Prepare for the start of college through our special transfer orientations held twice annually before the start of the Fall and Spring semesters
  • Connect to on campus transfer ambassadors who are familiar with On Point and the transfer experience
