Title: College Access Advisor
Status: Fulltime Non-Exempt
Location: Syracuse, NY
Start Date: ASAP
On Point for College is seeking a College Access Advisor who will focus on assisting students with getting into college or vocational school, graduate, and transition to a related occupation in the workforce. The Access Advisor will provide one-to-one assistance in resolving financial, academic and personal obstacles to starting college or vocational school. They will perform retention services on campuses throughout New York State by presenting success strategies and ensuring students take advantage of campus services. Lastly, they will help connect students with On Point's Career Services team, to help align student career interests with academic decisions and support the successful pursuit of career opportunities.
Must have a Bachelor’s Degree and 3+ years of work experience with young adults, financial aid, college admissions, and/or the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP). Must have valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, be able to travel 2 to 3 days a week and be able to work occasional evenings and weekends.
