Position Overview:
On Point for College is seeking a Career Services Coordinator. On Point works with students, alumni, employers, and community partners to provide comprehensive career services. We help students make educated career decisions and develop life-long professional career readiness skills. We assist employers in connecting with On Point students through recruitment and educational opportunities. Major responsibilities are providing one-to-one student assistance in aligning career interests with academic decisions; and assisting students and graduates to transition to a related occupation in the workforce.
Position Responsibilities:
- Provide direct career services to students, including outreach, resume preparation and revision, interview coaching, career pathway advising, and job and internship search support.
- Coordinate student outreach efforts by identifying employment and internship opportunities, notifying students of openings, and tracking engagement and outcomes.
- Establish, cultivate, and maintain strong relationships with local employers and community partners to expand job, internship, and career exploration opportunities for students.
- Plan, coordinate, and implement career-related programming and events, including job fairs, internships, job shadowing experiences, mentoring initiatives, and career exploration workshops.
- Represent the organization at volunteer, employer, and agency fairs to promote student talent and strengthen community partnerships.
- Provide administrative and managerial support by assisting with scheduling, coordinating program logistics, maintaining documentation, and supporting daily operational needs of career services daily operation.
- Support and collaborate with temporary staff, interns, and the Internship Associate to ensure successful implementation of internship programming, projects, workshops, and enrichment activities in Onondaga County.
- Assist with data tracking, reporting, and record maintenance related to student participation, graduate employment, and postsecondary outcomes to support program evaluation and alumni engagement efforts.
- Prepare reports, summaries, and internal documentation to support workforce development initiatives, grant reporting, and continuous program improvement.
- Perform additional administrative, programmatic, and reporting duties as assigned to support organizational goals and student success.
General Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of directly relevant work experience.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (may travel and work evenings and weekends for events).
- Proficiency with MS Office programs including PowerPoint.
- Effective written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.

Salary:
- $47,000 per year / 40-hour work week / 9:00am – 5:00pm / Monday thru Friday

Most positions receive a laptop or desktop, mobile phone, scanner, and portable printer to use so staff can work from other locations (school districts, community centers, etc.).
Holidays include Martin Luther King Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Friday after. We also offer paid leave from 12/24 thru 1/1 for full-time employees.
On Point also:
