About Mark Muhammad

Mark Muhammad is an assistant professor of professional communication at Onondaga Community College and an adjunct professor in the Renee Crown honors program at Syracuse University. He also is a minister in the Nation of Islam and a Commissioner of Education for the Syracuse City School District. He holds a master's degree in speech communication from SU and a bachelor's in industrial and labor relations from Cornell University. He is a graduate of Henninger High School in Syracuse and holds an associate's degree in business technology from Onondaga Community College.
